What Necklace Should I Choose for a Black Turtleneck Sweater?

I'm gonna start with the most basic: a black marina wool turtleneck sweater. Everybody has something like this. Without jewelry, it looks really plain. I used to stay away from necklaces because I thought the neckline was too hot and it would be hard to style. But now, I see it as a blank canvas. and now I realize all of my statement necklaces actually look the best with this type of sweater. With statement necklaces, I like to go with shorter lenses . I am 5'2, if they're too long because there's so much going on with the necklace they can look overwhelming and out of proportion for my height and my size. If you're petite, you can consider a statement necklace that's above your chest.

This one is shorter even though it has three strands of faux pearl. This can balance out the volume in the Necklace.

Or you can go a little longer like this one. This is two layers mother of the pearl necklace and is a little longer, but still this is above the chest. The shorter the statement necklace, the higher it's gonna draw attention above to your face, which is very flattering especially if you're petite like me

The Best Necklace for Round Neck Sweater

This time of year, I like to wear a round neck tighter fit wool sweater. You probably have something similar. At first, I was thinking maybe I should wear it with a dedicated chin necklace like in the picture below, but when I wear a chin necklace it looks like silver gets totally unnoticeable because the rip knit is also vertical stripes.

So instead, when I switch to a round shape, a higher necklace like this looks much better. The shape of the necklace goes perfectly with the shape of the neckline. And because it's rounded, it actually balances out the vertical stripes of the sweater much better.

What Necklace Should I Wear for Cardigans?

cardigans come in so many different styles. The best necklaces depend a lot on the style of your cardigan and how long they are. For a relaxed fit cardigan blazer, I like to wear it open front. I like to wear a longer necklace that ends on top of my capsule to balance out the length of the cardigan. This is the longest necklace I have and ends right above my chest.

So I like to switch to a chin necklace like this. The chunkiness of the chin necklace feels more in harmony with the open neckline and the gold looks great against my skin tone and this looks like it's dressed up enough but it doesn't look like the necklace is overkill.

How to Choose Necklace for Wrap Sweater

I love faux wrap sweaters. They look especially good on someone with full bust because it really accentuates your chest. This gives me a lot of space in my neck to work with, so this works the best with a bold statement necklace. The necklace of very light blue goes perfectly well with the light blue of the sweater.

You can also wear your full wrap sweater as a top layer. I love to wear this with my silk camisole if I go with a statement necklace. now it looks like it's too complicated in the chest because my necklace and camisole both are taking half the space in my chest. It looks like they're competing with each other.

So I'm gonna switch to a denty chain necklace like this. It allows the eyelash design in my camisole to really stand out.

How to Find a Necklace for Cable Knit?

A lot of us like to wear cable knit sweaters in the fall and winter. But I have found them the hardest to pair with necklaces if you wear any denty chin necklaces, they just look totally lost because of how chunky the sweater design is or you can go with a statement necklace like this but it just looks unnecessary and looks like i'm trying too hard.

My answer is very simple: less is more! No necklace is needed! Just wear some earrings if you want, and that would make you look simple but beautiful.

What Necklace Goes Well with Big V-neck

if your sweater is relaxed fit and has open V-neckline, it gives you a lot of possibilities when you wear it with different necklaces. It can totally change the look and feel of your outfit. You should choose a necklace with color goes perfectly with your sweater. Like most necklaces this comes with an extender. When I wear the extender shorter and my neckline looks higher, this is going to draw more attention to my face. But when I'm wearing lower, I also love it because now it looks more aligned with the vase shape of the neckline.

If your sweater neckline is wide open V-shaped like this, you can't wear it with a chain necklace. This does not look bad, but because the chain is so delicate and the pendant is small, it does look like it's not enough for the space in the chest. Instead, when I switch it to a double layered pendant necklace, the shape of the necklace goes perfectly with the shape of the neckline, and because it's double layered. This adds more dimension to the chest and this looks much more sophisticated.
